Stirrings by Rachel Goodyear – Salford Art Gallery
‘Stirrings’ will be the first major solo exhibition by Rachel Goodyear in a North-West museum and art gallery. Co-commissioned by Grundy Art Gallery and the University of Salford Art Collection, this exhibition includes new large-scale drawings and animation. While the animation shows Goodyear experimenting with structure and sound, the new works on paper see the artist working at a scale larger than ever before. The exhibition will also tour to Salford Museum and Art Gallery from 15 July 2022.

Art Theory and Practice (Wildlife Painting) – Gallery Oldham
Here’s another of our workshops! During this workshop, you will be able to create your own wooden panel painting using acrylic paint of an animal of your choice, using easy-to-follow and fully supported techniques from preparing your surface, to a fully finished artwork for you to take home.
Directly inspired by the ‘British Wildlife Photography’ exhibition at Gallery Oldham. In this workshop, you will learn the art of painting animals by professional artist Christopher Rainham, and be shown around the exhibition by art historian Sara Riccardi. She will discuss select artworks in the exhibition and run through the theory and history behind using animals in artwork and photography.
Art Theory and Practice | Gallery Oldham | £34.50 | 30th Jul – 12:30pm – 3:00pm
Art with Affinity – Riverview Affinity Living
We have been invited by Affinity Living to use their space to create events for the residents that live within their buildings. They pride themselves on being the place to live in Manchester. This is a private event for the 1200 residents there, so although it isn’t open to the public, we are still expecting a huge audience to come and see the amazing work we will have on display. We will be providing the artwork, and Affinity Living will be providing the drinks and music, and together we want to create an exhibition that becomes a night to remember. APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR ARTISTS TO EXHIBIT AT THE EXHIBITION – deadline 11th July.
Art with Affinity | Afinity Living | 28th July, 6:30pm -9:30pm
