TOP EXHIBITIONS AND ART EVENTS IN GREATER MANCHESTER THIS FEBRUARY
As always, there’s lots of art exhibitions and events this month to get stuck in to!
THE UNSTABLE LINE AT AIR GALLERY

Although this launched in January, it only launched at the very end of the month! This exhibition explores the concept of line and the concept of drawing as a process. The show will feature the work of 9 artists across genres from 2-D works to sculpture and installation.

WORKSHOPS AT MANCHESTER CRAFT & DESIGN CENTRE

Manchester Craft & Design Centre have a great line up of workshops throughout February. There’s a Silver Jewellery taster session, run by Manchester School of Jewellery, where participants will learn a variety of skills including hammering, texturing, stamping and soldering. Also, Cragg Jones Clay will be running a Sgraffito Vase Ceramic workshop where you can learn about slabbing techniques, slips and drawing line patterns.

SARAH V BATTLE ‘BIBELOT’ AT WEAVERS FACTORY

To add to the schedule of exhibitions at Weavers Factory is a showcase of work by Royal
College of Art graduate, Sarah V Battle. The artworks on show demonstrate a range of
printmaking techniques and reflect her accomplished career.

THE NEW YEAR TIGER AT ST ANN’S SQUARE BY DECORDIA EVENTS AND MANCHESTER BID

To celebrate Chinese New Year a tiger sculpture will appear, for just a few days, in St Ann’s Square. The sculpture will mark the year of the tiger, is made from wood and recycled materials and will be lit up at night.

We’ve partnered with local Manchester brewery Track, to bring you a new series of art workshops. We’re excited to say that, first on the cards, is a drawing workshop. You’ll learn drawing skills such as line, tone, texture and composition, but with a Track twist!. Plus, you get a free drink with your ticket purchase!
