Top 5 Art Exhibitions and Events this October

A run-through of our top Art Exhibitions and Events in Manchester this month

October is here! The weather is turning, golden leaves are falling off the trees, and the ghosts and ghouls will be coming out to play. It’s also that time of year where everyone wakes up and wonders what the time is, and whether their phone changed the clock automatically or not!

The new month means new exhibitions and events. Here’s our featured favourites, but make sure you check out the What’s On Calendar to see what else is happening in the amazing city of Manchester!

MA Show at Home mcr

‘Manchester School of Art MA Show’

We had such a great time at the 2019 Degree Show, that we now can’t wait for the MA Show to follow. First shown at Holden Gallery, the exhibition will move to Home mcr for the remainder of the month. This exhibition shows the work of ‘MA and MFA Fine Art graduates that celebrates the outcomes of their studies and work as practitioners.’ This is a great way to see which artists are about to hit the real world, a great way to see who is up-and-coming.

So we are super excited for his new exhibition at Saul Hay Gallery. ‘’Composed From Silence’ is a collaborative project with art historian Sara Riccardi.’ This exhibition will showcase some of Heaton’s new work, which ‘challenges our pre-conceived familiarity with the environment that surrounds us.’ Definitely one to check out, plus Saul Hay Gallery is a lovely space and a they owner’s there are great!
