Oil Painting Workshop – 19/03/22
Part of our Art All Dayer: Spring Edition
This is a workshop for anyone who would like to learn to paint with oils. It is designed to give you a flavour of the fundamentals of painting a still life, using oil paint. In this 45 minute workshop you will learn about the basic tools for oil painting and how to use them: such as different supports, how to arrange oil colours in the palette, how to hold the brush, what brushes you will need to start to paint, use of cardboard as a framing device, how to fix the first drawing onto the canvas, when to use solvent, how and when to clean brushes and how to apply paint onto the canvas and much more!
This event will take place at:
Saturday 19th March
Time: Two times to chose from, 3:00pm and 4:30pm
Venue: Meet at Halle St Peters, 40 Blossom St, Ancoats, Manchester M4 6BF – one of our staff will then walk you round to Halle St Michael’s where this workshop is held (it’s just around the corner)
Price includes your £1 entry into the Art All Dayer event.
