‘In Manchester’ Art Talks

As part of our ‘In Manchester’ exhibition, we will be hosting two evenings of artist talks!

On these evenings you can come along and hear directly from some of the artists featured in the exhibition. They will be talking about their work, how it was created and the inspiration behind it. We will have 4 artists each night, speaking for approximately 10 mins, with an introduction from myself, the Founder and Director of Cotton On MCR.

Afterwards they’ll be time to ask any questions and mingle with the artists too.

‘In Manchester’ is our Open Call Exhibition where we showcase a selection of Manchester’s best artists. We’ll have the whole of Floor 6 in Barbirolli Square, Manchester City Centre, a whopping 17,000 square feet to fill with art! This exhibition is another way for us to really show off how varied and incredible Manchester’s art scene is.

Talk 1 – Date: Tuesday 24th May

Artists talking will be, Jimi Backhouse, Annabelle Richmond-Wright, Nehal Aamir and Jane Smith.

Talk 2 – Date: Tuesday 31st May

Artists talking will be, Nina van Heeckeren, Lee Cooper, Katie McGuire and Olga Mun

We will have wine, beer and soft drinks on hand also – all included in the price!

NOTE – this is an informal event as we will be traveling around the exhibition, there is no seating available.
