This 6-week Drawing and Life Drawing course, hosted by professional artist and Chelsea School of Art graduate Louise Garman, will be split into 3 parts. Starting Tuesday 28th September, in the first two weeks, you will learn or enhance your drawing skills including tone, line, texture and composition. Here you will work from a still life set up, exploring different textures, materials and how to adapt your drawing to these varied objects. You will be given a worksheet to help and study from.
In the following four weeks, you will be using your skills learned and adapt these for life drawing! Working with a life model, you’ll study the male form for 2 weeks and a female model for 2 weeks. Life drawing is one of the most effective ways to enhance your drawing and to learn about proportions and composition. You will learn to see, to be more observant, and learn how to create basic shapes and develop these into figurative forms.
With the six weeks combined, you will learn a whole new range of skills, which can be applied to drawing any subject in any context!
Open to students of all levels be it beginners or those wishing to develop their drawing skills. Louise is a fantastic teacher who can adapt the workshop to suit your individual needs. All materials will be provided.
Refreshments such as tea and coffee will also be provided in this workshop.
