Art All Dayer: Autumn Edition
Yep! It’s that time again, time for our next Art All Dayer. And this time, we are in a NEW VENUE!
The Art All Dayer: Autumn Edition will be held at 100 Barbirolli Square (Floor 5), Saturday 24th September. If that venue sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the same one we used for our In Manchester exhibition back in May!
As well as a new venue, we will also have some new elements to share with you, including our first ever food and drink market! Not only will there be a great selection of arts and crafts to purchase, but now you can grab a coffee and cake too!
The Art All Dayer is ‘Manchester’s biggest art event, from Manchester’s best creatives’, and with these new changes, we really are bringing you the biggest selection of creatives possible!
At the Autumn Edition we are bringing you everything you know and love about the Art All Dayer, but bigger!
We can fit in more tables at the Art Fair, showing you even more Manchester based creatives.
After the feedback from the Drop-In workshops at the Summer Edition, we will be doing it again this Autumn. You can chose what medium you wish to use!
We also have the solo exhibition by the winner of the viewers vote at our ‘In Manchester’ exhibition, Hattie Kongaunruan.
We are all about promoting local artists and talent and celebrating the amazing Manchester art scene. We want to create events that are open and welcoming to all, to show how there are a number of ways you can get involved in art, whether that be an art fair, workshops or exhibitions – we have it all!
Art Fair/Food Market
With the Art All Dayer: Autumn Edition being held at 100 Barbirolli Square, we have so much more floor space to fill! That means we can have up to 90 artists and creatives selling their arts and crafts, food and drink! You heard me, 90! As far as we are aware, this is the BIGGEST art fair in Manchester!
Not only can you come along to purchase affordable, art, paintings to prints and pottery to photography, ceramics, textiles, illustration, jewellery and more… bu for the first time ever, we will also have a food market too! We want to show the baking talent that Manchester has! So whilst you are shopping for your arty gifts, you can re-charge with a coffee and cake too!
We only feature the work of creatives living and/or working in the Greater Manchester region, making sure we promote the best, local talent this incredible city has to offer. Come along and support your local artists and see a wonderful array of arts and crafts for sale!
APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN!!
We are looking for artists, creatives and chefs to fill our 90 tables!
You can apply for the arts and crafts market, or the food market, or both!
Applications close 23:59 on Monday 15th August, and we will let everyone know by Thursday 18th August.
You can find out more about the application process/selling at the event via our FAQ page.
Arts and Crafts Workshops
People loved the drop-in workshops at the Summer Edition so why change it this time?
In this workshop you have the choice! You can choose to use watercolours, pencils or acrylic paint! Hosted by one of our regular professional artist tutors, Louise Garman will set up a still life setting and have work sheets to guide you through. She will be on hand to help and teach you the techniques of each medium. So you can paint with watercolours, whilst your friend learns how to draw! Find out more –>
As always, the Art All Dayer: Autumn Edition brings to you a new exhibition. This is one we offer free to the artists, to give them a platform to show and potentially sell their work. This Autumn’s exhibition is a solo one by the winner of our People’s Vote Award at the ‘In Manchester’ exhibition – Hattie Konhgaunruan!
Hattie is an artist, and upcycler/wombler. Her two pieces ‘Born to Run’ were on display at our open call exhibition back in May. Here we held a compettion, asking guests of the exhibtion to vote for thier favourite piece, and Hattie won by a land-slide!
She creates ‘surreal sculptures by recycling unwanted furniture into whimsical creatures, reacting to their salvage from landfill.’
This is the first sculpture exhibition we have held, and we are super exhibited for it and to see more of Hattie’s work. PLUS! She will be there on the day and will do a live talk with the guests too at 2pm.
Find out more about Hattie on her website!
